A very good show but not a great one. I left the concert not quite knowing what I just experienced. It was my first Elevation show but fourth time seeing them overall. My seats were bottom of the upperdeck on the right side of stage. The sound there was not very clear and Bono's words were not audible. Too bad. Besides that, the concert did seem rushed at times. It was just a feeling I guess.
I saw them once on ZOO TV(Saratoga,NY), and twice on POPMART(Chicago and St. Louis). The sound for all three was much better as were the visuals. The passion with which they played the songs also exceeded the Indy show. The setlist this time couldn't be beat though.
To sum up I thought it was a very good show that never got airborne after "Gone" fell flat with the audience. Maybe, as a whole, they just like the hits in the Midwest. The audience did not tolerate any deviation from the radio singles. Take "New York" for example. The best song they played all night left the better part of the ticket buyers behind. Maybe the show will be received better in Detroit where I'll see them next. I think Bono really needs that connection to get going.
