Well*well*well!!! I cannot express what happened to me at the show in Indiana!!!
I was on cloud nine when I left. I had previously seen U2 at Soldier Field in 97' and I must say that the Elevation Tour has a different feel to it, but it was AMAZING!!! If anyone is wondering, I am the photographer who Bono sang "Until the End of the World," to. (The one in the picture on this website!) :) First, I never thought in my wildest dreams I would ever be able to take pictures of my favorite band, U2 - and w/ the grace of the Indiana Daily Student I recieved a press pass and shot the concert from an alleyway inside the heart. (Thanks Leah!) Well, when I got down there and the band walked on stage the energy that I felt was unreal! I was soo close and then it got even better! Bono looked amazing and his charisma was beautiful. Well, when he was walking down the right side of the heart and preceeded to stop in front of me I didn't even know what to do. I was shooting and the moment was soo real. Then he took my hand and got all playful laying sideways and the sort. I was shaking I was in such shock! It was absolutely SURREAL! I was looking him right in the eyes...all I could say was: "I love you!" What would you say to Bono if he was holding your hand and singing in his rifting chords??? I mean it was a dream come alive! Well, I have got to say I jammed the rest of the show up in the club section after I shot the first three songs and it was a great set. They enchanted their audience w/ a mix of old and new - inspiring those that opened their ears to the vividness of the moment. Happy Birthday Bono. Thanks for the momories!!!
One love.U2.
