This was a fantastic show. I have seen U2 nearly 20 times starting at Amnesty International in 1986 (I know many people have seen far more shows, so please no attacks). It was a wonderful blend of new songs, old favorites and other catalog songs. Starting with City of Blinding Lights was fantastic (I have even asked my wedding band to play it when I am married next month). The Bank Robbers added a terrific bit of spontaneity to the show – I will have to check them out live sometime soon.
I would have enjoyed it a bit more if the encore did not start with the Zooropa theme (not may favorite era of U2). I am looking forward to seeing them again in the fall.
