We sat in the 244 section of the upper level. I have seen U2 on every tour of the U.S. at least once. Usually I see them on the first leg and then see them again in the fall.
Continental Arena is an interesting venue. It is very similar to the Hartford Coliseum, where I saw the band on the first leg of the ZooTv tour.
Bono commented last night on the temperature in the arena. He said it was HOT, and it was, temperature wise and emotionally.
It was a great concert. The effects and lighting were awesome, and the band did what they do -- brilliantly.
The crowd was into the show in parts, and like others have said in their postings, not into it in others. I was at the Garden in October of '01. That time is gone and so is that moment. I don't expect to ever see anything like that again--20,000 fans singing the lyrics note for note in perfect pitch to every song.
I had a blast last night. I will see them again at the Garden in November. Looking forward to it.
