OHHHHH YESSSS!
Ok...where to begin. I decided after the Hamilton show I needed to get Elevated one more time. MSG was the likely answer for me but tickets were to expensive. Let's not forget that I would also be travelling from Toronto. New Jersey, Continental Arena seemed like the likely answer. So I bought my tix of Ebay, took off work, and drove for nine hours.
When I got to the Arena it was 6am and I was number 86. I could not wait to relive my inner heart experience from the Hamilton show. I spent the day talking with fans, looking at pictures, exchanging U2 meetings and sightings, and singing songs. It was a wonderful time.
As showtime approached, word on the street was that security was not going to honor our numbering system. For the record, the security at this particular event were absolute idiots. I'm not sure they could organize a one car funeral! Regardless, the opening of multiple gates, crushed the dreams of those who had been waiting for hours to get into the heart. I was also crushed in the madness and mayhem of people pushing and budding in.
After a heart thumping run from the ticket taker, to the arm band giver....I am proud to say I made it into the heart, this time on Adam's side.
I have posted some pictures as well. Good show....different than Hamilton of course...but the did "All I Want Is You" and "Please". I took tons of pictures and of course held up my "Our Church" sign. (see Hamilton review). This time on the other side of my sign I wrote "Larry can I have your sticks?"
I didn't want the show to end...nor did I want to drive back to Canada.
Highlight was Larry giving me one of his sticks (signature Pro-Mark) and Dallas tossing me an "Adam" guitar pick.
I love you guys. You have changed my life from the first time I heard you and continue to change every facet of my life when I pop you in my CD player. I look forward to the new music you have as you mentioned in the concert.
P.S. (At one point in the show....Bono was "rapping" a few lines....anyone else catch that?)
