Awesome show and a close-up once in a lifetime chance for me despite the fiasco outside the arena due to the ineptitude of the security. Imagine my excitement as Bono selects my NYPD hat to wear during the last portion of the show. Congratulations and admiration came from all that surrounded me at the show. Then during the encore I watched as Bono threw it to some one else not even in my general area!! The collective sounds from the people around me sounded like the wide receiver dropping the winning touchdown pass as time expires to win the Superbowl. I waited to see if the recpient of my momento would come out of the heart and somehow out of the kindness of their heart return it to me. However, it was not to be. I have a great story but no hat, not even a good photo. I thought because it was and NYPD that Bono would reverantly return it as he had been doing with the American flags. Oh Well.
If anybody knows what became of my hat or has pictures of Bono wearing it PLEASE they would be greatly appreciated.
