For their first time in Hamilton, the band put on a stellar performance that is sure to receive a return invitation. They entered after the Beatle's "All You Need Is Love" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" with house lights on.
Bono worked the audience with perfection from the start. Responding to a fan's sign, he invited the audience member on the track. This individual was allowed to play Bono's guitar while Bono assisted to thunderous applause. Lucky dog!
The emotion and energy in the place was unbelievable. U2 has an amazing way of causing you to consider your thoughts, attitudes, and perspectives on everything without even being preachy. Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, One, Peace On Earth, and Walk On all struck deep emotinal cord. Deliver the message boys!
Overall the show was totally amazing. There is no doubt they are the best band in rock and roll. Their music, their lyrics, their performance, their fans, their social issues, their show! FANTASTIC. Don't miss them if you have the opportunity!
U2, thanks for the unforgettable evening. Keep the faith!!!!!
