Twice in a lifetime.

Well I did not think after my experience in Toronto on May 24th 2001 that I would ever see another show that would come close. That changed at the end of the show in Hamilton on Oct. 13th.

The opening with Sgt. Pepper and the Elevation (Influx Mix) is just so energizing. After waiting since 7am to get into the heart I was not sure if my feet and knees were going to hold up, but sure enough the music did it’s job. I was lifted above the ground for a full two hours.

Hearing Sunday Bloody Sunday was very moving since all the that is going on in the world today. That was one of the first lines that came into my head on Sept. 11, “I can’t believe the news today, I can’t close my eyes and make it go away” Need I say more?

I had read about them taking people out of the crowd to play with them etc, but to see it first hand was just great. I feel for the guy, I am sure he is a fine guitar player but considering the circumstances it was very understandable. From where I was standing, inside the heart close to the tip on The Edge’s side of the stage, I could see his whole body start shaking as he started to play. He did a good job of singing to close out the song, one of the great moments of the tour I am sure.

Bad into Streets is just an overwhelming combination of music that can’t really be put into words. If I was lifted by Elevation, then Streets had me flying for the rest of the show.

New York is better then ever now. I really started to like the song after hearing it few times live. Of course with the changed lyrics to reflect was has taken place this song has a whole new meaning.

One and Walk on were very emotional. I can say I was one of the many that had tears in my eyes when I started to read the names scrolling up on the screen of all those lost in the hi-jacked planes. The message hit loud and clear.

I can only hope they tour again. This time make another stop on Toronto!
