First time in Ottawa for a show... U2 was great but the crowd wasn't. I was disappointed by that. I knew that the crowd would be hard to warn, but this was embarassing... At some point I told to myself that this was nearly insulting for the band.
If you read other fans review for this show and they write that the crowd was great, it's probably because this was their first U2 show.
Beside that, U2 gave a good performance, I was just in the from of the Larry's Drum kit outside the Ellipse.
I can't wait to see them In Montreal tonight (and next Monday). I know that the Montreal crowd is beyond most other crowd in North America.
Sorry U2, but Ottawa is a somewhat boring city, yes it was a "political" move to do a show there (Ottawa is the capital of Canada), but it's not a city where culture, music and big events works well. Next time stay 3 nights in Montreal. The REAL U2 fans in Ottawa will drive their way there.
