This has to be the best show Ottawa has ever seen.
My friend has been to many shows at the Corel and the weeks before U2 he would tell that the Ottawa crowd was not going to get into it. Maybe, on the floor, he would say.
But on my side I was like, you don't know … this is U2!
Well we saw what happened.
The entire crowd all the way to the top of the 300s was up on its feet almost the whole time! Just sitting down a few times for some slow songs.
You could feel the electricity cranking up a few minutes after the first act ended as people started to do the wave. Then just a few minutes when the intro music before "City of blinding lights" started, you knew Ottawa was going to get "elevated!"
They delivered the full package. Music and voices were bang on. Light show was amazing. They interacted with the crowd and crowd responded with a roar. Simply, If you could only see one show in your life this was the one.
Thousands of people will look back at this show and remember how great they felt that night.
