This was such a wonderful venue, the Cow Palace! And lots of other bands playing made the show a full night. U2 brought their charisma, I was up on the "300" section, far away from the music, but that didn't matter. Every note resonated with the intense meaning of a concert lifting us out of a world where torture exists, and poor activists try to bring some peace into the world. We got there in time to sample a great line up, and we were not in the least upset by the message, that pain does exist, and all of us together with Frends (Eileen Sandburg who got us the tickets) can go to a place where we feel free to feel the religious and political ties that bind. We are bound in a musical journey, and a new way of being, watching Peter Gabriel sing about South Africa was the ultimate (love In your eyes, Peter, because John Cusack uses it in Say Anything)without pain, we do not gain! Tomorrow, we see our favorite band, and bless our best intentions to change our perception of who we help and who we leave behind. Go U2!
