As expected U2 did not disappoint. It was a good solid show. BUT God-willing they will never play that stadium again - the sound was HORRID! I've been to enough U2 shows to know that that was one of the worst ever for sound quality. For a good chunk of the show you couldn't hear Adam! (which was crucial for establishing the Ways swagger/groove.)
I like to think it's because the New "Jerry Jones World" Stadium couldn't even make a U2 show sound good. (What a waste of a few Billion dollars!) They should have at least opened up the roof! and geez you couldn't even see the entire stage thanks to that monstrosity of a jumbo-tron.
I still get goose bumps when they played Streets and MLK - WOW! I LOVED the new cartoon baby before Ultraviolet (an INCREDIBLE point in every show on the tour).
I was right in front of the mixing board. Daryl Moose Johnston was there as well as the incredible humanitarian Agnes Nyamayarwo.
MAGNIFICENT show! crappy venue!
