this is my first ever review....There's always a buzz around the city when U2 are playing at home. You could feel it in the air. Walking to Croker, you could see all the different t-shirts fans wearing, some dating back to Rattle and Hum, some going as far back as War and Boy.
The boys come on i reckon around 8.50pm, Breathe..The crowd are up for it and also the band. U2 seemed very relaxed to be playing at home. The Auld Triangle was special to hear. Song highlights - Desire, Streets, Bad. Get on your boots (a song i normally skip on the cd) was brilliant live.
Only downside (and only slightly) is that we didn't hear more from the new album, but then there's still 2 more nights to go. In a nutshell the concert was excellent, sound was very very good for Croke Park. Crowd was Brilliant, Can't wait till Saturday and Monday. C'mon Drowning Man!!!!!!!
