I saw them at the Dandelion market and I recall they played the sex pistols / punk cover of the day. The second time I saw them was in 1981 in NYC (may have been the Ritz). Adam Clayton invited us backstage. My brother (presently the Principal at Mt. Temple, in Dublin where the Band went to School) chatted with Bono at length, no one was drinking alcohol backstage and we were offered soda water (to my dissapointment!) I left Dublin and reside now in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where I invest and sell real estate. I saw them in Philly October 17th (Springsteen appeared!), it was amazing to see the transformation. They have come a long way since the concert at the Ritz where they actually apologized for repeating songs because they hadn't recorded that many of their own songs. Cheers!
