This was #4 for me on this tour. I saw them in AZ twice in April and then in Vegas in November. I've had the pleasure of being on the floor each time once in the ellipse. Of the four shows I'd have to say that the AZ shows had the best set list; the Vegas show had better acoustics; the SLC show had by far the most energy. I've never seen a crowd more into any show. On the flour everyone was singing non-stop. Looking around the stadium it was amazing to see everyone in the arena completely into it. The band also had much more energy and were more playful with the crowd.
The opening to Vertigo was extended a bit so Bono could introduce the band. The girl who came up on stage for Mysterious Ways was the same girl from the Vertigo DVD. Bono had been coming out to the tip of the ellipse to pull a girl out to sing WOWOY but he stayed on the main stage with the MW girl. I don't know if she's planted.
This was a great show. Everything they play continues to be relevant. I've been mostly impressed with the Edge. He has been spot on from the beginning. I was dissapointed that they took Miracle Drug from the set list however. One of the most emotionally and musically gripping songs from the tour.
The music that they constantly play says something to me about my life. I guess now I'll have to live with the DVD's until the next tour.
