This was my 6th Elevation concert, and I think it was the best. I've never seen Bono walk back to the mic after a show to say "Wow!" The Salt Lake crowd was definitely the loudest and most excited of any concert crowd I've ever been a part of. I was on the floor - at the outside tip of the heart for the main set and inside the heart for the encore. From the beginning of Elevation, I think U2 could feel our energy and it just pumped them up, and they played with pure passion for 2 hours. I could tell they were all having a lot of fun...more so than other Elevation shows I've been to. It seemed all 4 of them were smiling the whole time.
Bono played rock-paper-scissors with a fan right by me and won all three times. I think he read every sign there was. A guy by us got up to play the piano for "People Get Ready."
Bono's voice was perfect. He hit all the notes perfectly. I don't know how he can do that night in and night out. Highlights for me were Elevation, Bad, and Streets. U2 is in top form. If you haven't seen them yet this tour, find a way to get tickets to one of the remaining shows. This could go down as the greatest rock tour in history. I'm attaching some pictures I took.
