I was at last nights show at the Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield.
Just want to say it was one of the best U2 concerts i have ever attended. The crowd was mainly to play a huge part in this. From the moment Larry walked on stage the atmosphere was similar to that of a football match. Europhic, passionate and carnival.
The stadium was possibly the smallest on this tour. This helped for a more intimate atmosphere. You could feel the warmth of the summers evening and watch the sun set behind the stage. Quite a dramatic setting.
Bono paid special thanks and praise to homeboy Wille Williams. It was also Willies birthday.
Bono himself, was much more vocal with the crowd than previous 360 shows. Lot's of banter and interaction.
Unforgetable Fire remains the highlight of the tour. The way in which the stage increases and lowers. Really amazing stuff.
Great show.
Much better than Wembley.
Wembley was too big!
I was really impressed with last nights show.
Thanks and praise to U2.
And also all the great U2 fans at last nights show in Sheffield.
