Little bits that fans might appreciate: during Elevation, Bono's pants ripped on the side, or came unsnapped. His tech fixed him up while he smiled and continued singing. Edge broke a string during Sunday and had to spend a few seconds not playing for a replacement guitar arrived. Carter Alan made a very welcome appearance in the heart and we all enjoyed seeing him. However, despite his current ZLX status, Bono still made a reference to WBCN-Boston, the station on which Alan first played U2 in 1980. Bono also made multiple references to Boston and Massachusetts, as though he didn't realize he was playing in Rhode Island! The INXS shirt was great. GA lineup notes: 300 arrived around 2 in the afternoon. Dunkin Donuts staff were polite and congrats to them for opening doors at 6 as promised. We were all disappointed with "Cow Guy" who did a nice job policing the GA lineup at 5:45 and weeding out cutters, but then he hypocritically hopped into the line around #20, even though his number was actually around 150. U2 stayed in NYC during these shows and will do so during the Philly shows next week.
