Much, much better! A disappointing night on Sunday was more than made up for last night.
Due in no small part to my location in the arena. Still high up, but at the side of the stage rather than right at the back of the arena. The crowd were also far better tonight, much louder and livelier. But the sound quality is very poor at Earls Court, especially for such a loud band as U2. I'm sure Madonna and Janet Jackson will sound a lot clearer there, simply because their music is not as loud and fast.
Anyway, it was a great concert, Bono seemed into it, even though he is clearly having voice problems. (Where does he get his energy from??!)
Did no-one notice him & Edge cock up the lyrics on Staring At The Sun?
Would still rather see them outdoors..they are a stadium band, with stadium music, and they shouldn't apologise for it.
Arenas (especially EC) just do not do them justice.
