It took me 8 years to see them again. It's too much time for an event like this. Unfortunately for me, this time i saw them on the stands, instead of staying 5 meters away from Bono on the Popmart Tour, all because of the disappearence of half the tickets available for the show.
Back to what matters: U2.
They were great, as always. They don't seem to get old. Bono still maintains that energy, the same old spirit. He was proud of the medal he received earlier from the President Of Portugal, and he led the audience to ecstasy when he said: "today we became portuguese!". The audience went wilder.
For me the most beautiful and greatest moment of the concert was Miss Sarajevo, followed by the Declaration Of The Human Rights passing on the big screen, finished with Pride (my favourite U2 song).
Like in all U2 concert, Bono invited a girl to the stage. He kissed her hand and everyone went wild. Even my girlfriend said "Lucky girl", causing me some kind of jealous. ;)
In almost every concert there are ups and downs. Unfortunately this one also had its downs. The tickets part, and the sound. Sometimes it was unclear what Bono was saying, and some songs were unrecognizable for some people, like: The Fly and Miracle Drug.
One of the greatest show i ever attended to, but it doesn't surpasses the one i've watched in the Popmart Tour.
I just hope it doesn't take other 8 years to watch them live again.
