After a 4 year wait, it was great to have the guys back in Melbourne. This 360 "claw" or "space station" as Bono refered to during the show is absoultely amazing! For tonights show, I was in the stands and got a good look at the stage and lighting spectacular that it is. At times I thought the crowd were a little flat and Bono really had to work to get the audience involved.
Although I've read that the roof was shut throughout the show due to heavy rain, this is not true and the roof was open for the entire concert. The roof had been almost closed up until the gates were open for the public but was open a good 3 hours before U2 hit the stage.
Some really great moments including hearing the new song "Mercy". Other highlights were "Where The Streets Have No Name", Beautiful Day" and "One"
On Friday I am going to be in the Red Zone and look forward to seeing the show from another prospective.
