This was my 12th U2 concert, stretching all the way back to The Unforgettable Fire Tour at the old Capital Centre in 1984. I just love the shows as they bring so much emotion and feel like you are a part of the experience.
I sat in the Upper Deck for the first time ever at a U2 show and all I can say is, "never again". The sound was absolutely HORRIBLE. The echo was out of control and you could not understand anything coming out of the microphone. Shame on the sound team for not getting their $100 million dollar stagecraft right.
Saturday night I will be on the lower level in Raleigh and I hope it is a much different experience. I am bringing my 13 year old to his first concert and I want it to be memorable for all the right reasons as I pass on the U2 torch to the next generation.
