The first guy seems very bitter. How can you be when you just got home from a U2 concert??
Two kids, they couldn't have been more than 12 years old, sat in front of my boyfriend and I after PJ Harvey. It was their frist concert and U2 is their favorite band. (Hey, the youth of AMerica is looking up!) Then, other people came in and they had the same seats as these two little kids! The kids had tickets for the night before!!! How heartbreaking. They had to get up! I hope security found them other seats.
Bono could have just sat on stage and looked awesome and I still would feel he did an incredible job. They took my breath away. Before KITE, Bono said something like he wrote it at a very sad time in his life. When they started playing, I cried like a baby. I couldn't stop! That song is so powerful and moving.
DESIRE rocked to no end, but all of the songs did. Bono admitted he was sick, but he and the rest of U2 were outstanding. I still have the chills.
It did bother me a bit that the Phliiy crowd started chanting, again, "BEAT L.A." when Bono tried to explain Jubilee 2000.
I managed to get a smile from Larry when he arrived at the FU Center. here wer only five people or so waiting. I yelled, "Hi Larry!" He had rolled his window down to chat with crew members who were playing soccor in the VIP lot. He looked up at me and smiled!
Needless to say, my boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time at the show. I love U2 so much. I can't wait until they come back!
