I have attended at least one show on every U2 U.S. tour since Unforgettable Fire, and last night's concert may have been the best I have ever seen. My wife and I were on the floor near Adam Clayton's side of the heart and it was incredible to see the emotion on each member's face during the show. I felt the energy level was much higher this show that the first June 2001 show. "Out of Control" was a pleasant surprise, as was the acoustic "Please". I'll admit I cried my eyes out during "One".
Kudos to the crowd on the floor as everyone near us was respectful of other's space.
Random sighting: Before U2 hit the stage, Elvis Costello walked right by me on the passage way on the other side of the fence on the floor. My wife doesn't believe me, but it was most certainly Elvis.
What?! I still can't hear out of my left ear.
Thanks U2, you made my year.
