Well I’m back for Boston night 2, after last nights show (Tues) I couldn’t imagine a better evening. But somehow they pulled it off. Tonight the crowd was deafening. I’ve attended over 80 concerts, and endless sporting events and I have never heard a crowd this loud. From “Elevation” through “Walk On” 135 minutes non-stop. Bono’s voice was stronger then Tuesday night, but not at full strength. Singing in and on the crowd, pulling a girl on stage to sing to, and leaving through the back of the stadium before the encore. Pulling the fan onstage to help with “People Get Ready” was a highlight. I can only imagine being in his shoes. Glen you are the envy of New England. I am thrilled for you, great job. The Edge sporting his #7 shirt was amazing as usual. Larry and Adam were perfect. I loved it when Bono said “fuck the game” towards the end of “Pride” and continued to encourage the crowd to sing with complete disregard for NBC’s obvious time limits. This after looking like an NBA commercial, tossing a basketball to the crowd.
Well Thursday night is my night of rest before returning to the Fleet for shows 3 & 4, I can’t wait, hope to see you there.
Thank You U2 for 20 plus great years of music, and endless wonderful memories. Keep it up!
