Well the week in boston is over and boy o boy was it amazing. Between the hbo special, the nba finals halftime, and the crazy events of last night it proved to be an awesome week. they sounded and looked incredible each night. i guess i would have to favor the first night because that was night i was front row. the guys seem so larger than life when seeing them perform up close. it was an experience i will never forget. the whole day was great. camping out in front of the fleetcenter and meeting so many great U2 fans was a blast.
bono made such a great effort to make sure the fans knew that the band cared more about them than the cameras. during the halftime performance, at the end of pride he even said "F@$# the Game" to show the bands commitment to their fans. not surprisingly it wasnt shown. Last night when bono cut off his singing in mid verse to run and tackle the the security guard who was tackling a fan he showed just how awesome he is. no other lead singer on this planet would do that for a fan. no other band would do that for a fan. That is because no other band is like U2. it was a great moment.
The edge solidified his position as coolest person on earth even more when returning to stage with a ray bourque jersey on. bono proclaiming "Free Ray Bourque" before walk on was awesome as well. and yes out of control and party girl were fantastic. party girl party girl oh man it was great. especially the edge playing the drum part on his guitar while laughing at it. haha awesome. they are the greatest, and we who are the fans know it and appreciate it. thank you U2 for everything, see ya in jersey.
