In a sold-out Gelredome U2 kicked ass in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately I had to attend the concert from a very, very, VERY bad seat. The sound was awful and I had only two video-screens to look at from the side of the stage.
The first half of the concert was very rock 'n roll and uptempo. With songs as Elevation, Until the end of the world and New years day they lifted the crowd to higher places.
After these songs bono and edge joined in some songs together at the bottom of the heart. And they played Stay. One of the greatest songs ever written.
Some songs were face-lifted. The Fly was, for me, totally unrecogniseable.
The best song this evening was Where the streets heve no name. This classic really gave me goosebumps. Especially with the audience blinders when the song kicks in.
I'm sad to be at home right now. I wish I could be there the other two nights also.
Thanx for a great evening.
