Well this show was a long time coming for me as I did not see "the boys" last time they toured. I really enjoyed the show but having seem them on 4 other tours I have to say they seemed a little off. Now I could say they are just getting older, but apprently the concert on Thursday was rockin'so we know age is not a factor.
I don't know if performing three nights in a row (the video and two concerts) was a strain on Bono but he seemed very distracted at times-talking the security, motioning to the roadies, he seemed to not be all there last night.
I think in the middle of the concert when they played a few mellow songs in a row seemed to take the wind out of the crowd's and the band's sails.
In one song we seemed to be getting alot of feedback and I found that a bit distracting from the song.
After all is said and done, a good U2 concert is still better than seeing any other band around on their best night.
So, thanks for the memories boys--it was a pleasure to spend the night with you.
