This was my third show on the tour, after having seen the opening show in Chicago. The band has made some wise changes in the setlist, spacing out the new songs and thereby enabling an early stretch of classics - in particular, the mysterious ways/beautiful days/still haven't found/stuck in a moment run early on was very well received.
The sound was somewhat muddy and droning - but all things considered, pretty darn good considering this was a dome. I saw the PopMart show in the old Kingdome in Seattle in 1997 and the sound here at the Georgia dome was crystalline in comparison, a testament to the great speaker system the band is sporting on this tour.
Took in the show from the Red Zone on the Edge's side. Energy level in the Red Zone and in the dome generally was what you would expect on a Tuesday night in a city that isn't hardcore U2 - casual and even ho-hum at times. So I would put this show average/maybe slightly below average for the 30-some U2 shows I've seen since 1987.
