First time seeing U2. I worked for Kemp Mill Records in Maryland (long gone now..) and my boss Jeff was a huge U2 fan. We had a great time at the gig. Highlights I remember include everyone booing and throwing things at Yoko Ono and a huge ovation for Mohammad Ali.
U2's set. Amazing. They came on stage just after dark and the place exploded. They were of course even at this stage, the reason 80,000 were there. The setlist is well known now, but all I can remember was the second tier we were on in the front row...was MOVING. Everyone was jumping up and down and the Meadowlands just shook. It was the first of nearly 50 times I'd see U2 perform.
