To me, there is nothing better than a live U2 show! I have seen many and have loved them all (maybe love is a strong word for the popmart shows) but this time I got to take my 10 year old son (Zach)to his first U2 concert.
The night started with him calling my brother in Michigan and saying "Hey Uncle John, I'm walking into Giants Stadium for the U2 concert, what are you gonna do tonite..."
Zach stood sang and danced for the whole 2+ hour show. I thought I was going to lose him a couple of times when he was jumping around during Elevation, Vertigo and Crazy (LOVE the version of Crazy!).
Every song was a highlight, Standing with Zach during One, followed by Amazing Grace followed by Streets was just mind blowing to me!
Bono sounded great, the whole band sounded great. The stage is amazing (even with a partial obstructed view from one of the claw arms). Thank you for an unforgettable night, and please come back soon! For those going to upcoming shows, enjoy, your in for an unbelievable concert.
If you are hesitant about taking kids to a U2 show, let me tell you there were MANY kids at Giants stadium last night. It was not too loud, let them experience U2 because you never know how long they'll sing their songs!
