wow...here we go...
So i have been a fan since 1981 (Toads Place New Haven CT)and this was somewhere around my 45th show as i ironically turn 45 in October.
Highlights have been the inner circle for Vertigo and Elevation tours, but now we fast forward to Gillette...
Sad, my fault, that i have been watching so many of the reviews and seen so many clips that there weren't any true suprises. Was hoping since the energy from the crowd was TOPS, they might pull something out or even come back out after MOS...i don't think they will do that on this tour however-
The thing that made it truly special for me was that my wife finally got to get close to the band(inner circle) as we were about 15-20 ft from Edge...shotty pics, but had to share a couple and also B's voice was perfect. especially in MOS.
Agreed 100% about Gillette/Foxboro...you all are pretty pathetic planners!!
That said many of the 'orange shirt' crew were amazingly friendly and helpful as the 'set up/planning' wasn't their fault. It was the lame VP or big guy that made many poor decsions.
Although the mall area/shops/restaurants is nice, that was it.
GA's were supposed to NOT line up till 3, then they changed to 11am. wtf?
My wife and i gave up and had a glass of wine at a nice rest. Davio's.
Got in line about 2,000 people deep at 4:40. Bolted to the innercircle, somewhat dragging my beautiful wife :) and there we were, right in front by Edge's side.
So, i really couldn;t complain...until...Exit time...
WTF!!! are you kidding me??? Concert ended at 11:30. took half hour to get to the car and started to leave by 12:05.
Between getting out of the parking lot and then the roads packed with traffic, it took us 2.5 hour to drive 2.5 f'n miles!!!!!
