As a veteran of over 60 U2 shows I thought I had seen it all when it came to these lads from Dublin! However, never....I repeat...NEVER have I seen as great a difference from the crowd & more importantly, the band themselves as I did last night! U2, from the opening surprise change to 'Moment of Surrender' to the bridge 'tango' during 'Until the End of the World' played with a fire and a determination that they are still relevant, still capable of hitting one out of the park, and still able to create an atmosphere of raw energy that can lift you into orbit...both sonically and emotionally! Yes I have been to better shows overall but this was by far the best 360 show for me! Personal highlight has got to be the club version of "I'll Go Crazy...". What other band has that ability and the sheer courage to transform an entire football stadium into a 'discotheque'! Thank you guys for yet another great memory, this was extra special as I was there with my girlfriend and her two teenage daughters as well as my brother. Only downside....Gillette Stadium parking and Rt1!! ARGH. Oh well, without the pain there can be no reward I guess!
thanks,
pat
