I have read a couple of reviews and I am wondering if I was at the same concert at Hampden. Although U2 were ok and the atmosphere was brilliant.
The sound system was appalling you could only hear the hint of a melody over the distortion. This totally ruined the whole evening for myself and partner, who unusually was in agreement with me.
I was in the seated section and all I was treated to during the performance was what amounted to television pictures with distorted sound and a Vegas type light show.At £65 for entry and with one of the world’s top bands I would have expected a lot better.
As soon as Bono announced goodnight we were out of there. I have heard I missed the best part of the concert, the encore.
It would however have had to have a new sound system installed to make any marked improvement on things in my opinion.
If this sound problem is not rectified before the rest of the tour my advice would be forget it. My first and probably my last U2 concert. Easily the worst concert I have been to in my life.
