This was my second concert I attended with U2. First one was back in Frankfurt/Germany during the 93 Zooropa Tour, which was a fantastic gig. The show in Glasgow was good, but did not have the same enthusiastic affect this time. I ordered my tickets in Germany as I am living in Scotland since february. Waiting in a queue for more than 1 hour to collect your tickets and missing the support acts, which I wanted to see, was really disappointing. To have a box office with only 3 people is absolutely ridicoulous. This is not a 1000 supporters show, but a main stadium gig.
The setlist of the concert was great and playing for a little more than 2 hours was good as well.
I was a little disappointed about the atmosphere, as you got the feeling, standing inside, that the seated areas were quit calm and not very enthusiastic.
Additionally I thought U2 didn't interact with the crowd as good as I've seen it before. Supporting political topics and interests is good and important, but I want to see a concert and not hear political statements all the time. Everybody knows about U2's and specially Bono's attitude to political involvements, but I don't wanna hear that on every second statement during a concert. There are other occasions to do so.
I think it was a good gig, but not one of those extraordinary magic moments you sometimes receive on concerts.
