This was my first U2 gig. I have been a massive fan since the very beginning, but I've never managed to get to any of the shows before.
I'm still buzzing about it. I thought they were awesome, I thought the crowd was awesome, I thought the light show was awesome. And contrary to some of the previous reviews I thought the sound was pretty good. I was in the upper tier of the stand and the only negative point is that there were times when we couldn't make out what Bono was saying between songs. Also everyone that I could see in the stand was up on their feet and jumping up and down, I could feel the stand vibrating. The highlights for me were Vertigo 1 & 2 (I, think the second version shaded it), The Electric Co. (I can't believe that song is 25 years old), Wild Horses (One of my all time favourites) and Running To Stand Still, which still brings a lump to my throat.
