Just to add a bit more to what I`ve already said and after reading all the other reviews.
In no way could I fault U2 for what happened on Tuesday. I had friends who were on the pitch also but nearer the stage in the centre and they had a fantastic night.
I was staying in a hotel near Hampden and nearly every guest was at the concert that night and were split 50/50 for good/bad concert (all those who didn`t enjoy it cited sound quality as the reason). It would be intresting to know if anyone who was there is going to the Oasis gig at the same venue on Wednesday so the Hampden acoustics line can be put to bed.
like most other people there I`m a massive U2 fan and they are probably the only band I`d pay £60 a ticket to see. For myself and my wife including tickets, hotel , travel etc. I paid over £300 and I expected more. I go to as much gigs as I can at venues all over the country from small halls to stadiums and I`ve never heard acoustics like that in my life.
After all the hassle getting tickets in the first place (I was one of the ones caught up in the ticketmaster/fan club fiasco) then the long wait for the gig to come round it just made what should have been a great night bad
