What a great night! I first saw U2 in 1987 in Tucson AZ. I've seen them three times since, but haven't had the chance to see them since the pop-mart tour.
I waited patiently for almost nine months for this show and was lucky enough to get into the elipse. Best show of my life (I've seen many, from the Greatful Dead to Prince). The crowd in the elipse were great, lots of energy. My ears are still ringing. I must say however looking out at the rest of the audience I was disappointed to see many people sitting. It's U2!!!!
Highlights were Miss Sarajevo, that song literally sent chills up my spine, and of course Streets. I know some think that song should be retired but I respectfully disagree, it's one of their best. I was also impressed with Love and Peace or Else. I'm not real fond of that song on the album, but it plays extremely well live. Instant Karma was also excellent.
U2 have proven themselves to be one of the greatest bands of all time. They are still relevant today as they were nearly 25 years ago. They longevity exceeds Zeppelin, The Who, The Stones and all the old acts trying to tour for the money. They still can't beat the Beatles though (IMHO).
Can't wait until next time!!!!
