Wow!!!! I have been elevated and it feels great!! First time ever seeing U2 and I was blown away. Best concert ever! I had balcony seats and I felt I was up close and personal with the band, especially Bono. He played to every part of the crowd, but especially made sure to walk behind the band and motion to the crowd which were seated behind the stage.
The lighting was teriffic but having them walk out with the houselights on created a whole different feeling. We all knew it was going to be a good show when he claimed he was "singing like a bird tonight."
Personal Highlights:
1."Gone" and "Kite," especially right next to each other, were teriffic. I was so glad they play the "Pop" tune because you can tell they really love it. And "Kite" was just mindblowing it was as good as I thought it would be and better. A concert must from now on.
2.Desire with all the band memebers out at the tip of heart. That was very cool.
3.Didn't Bono beging singing "Gloria" somewhere around "Bad." I can swear I remember it but nobody has mentioned it. Someone please e-mail me or post something confirming or denying this.
I can't wait for Boston on Wednesday. They're broadcasting live to NBC during halftime of the Finals game, which is somewhere from 10-11PM, but they're supposed to play "Elevation", usually played at 8:30-9:00PM. U2 isgoing to give Boston an incredible night of music!!!
