Drove in for this show from Cleveland (which the 360 tour completely skipped). This was my 9th U2 show dating back to ZooTV and my 7th with the same group of friends/siblings/wife. We were in GA (the only way to see a U2 show imho). I was a bit anxious to hear and see the band as it had been a few years and I was worried about age and apathy. Also, recent tours had been so amazing in arenas and I don't generally like stadium shows.
All I can say is WOW! Zooropa...are you f-ing kidding me!? Yer man sounded great, and the band was on point all night. I love the way they find new ways to perform within the old songs. You can tell that Bono is so confident inside the melody and framework that he can find new ways to express and deliver. This band is not getting old. And I don't know how. I was exhausted, yet they were ready for more.
Best band in the history of the world bar none. How do they deliver night in and night out with such precision and passion? I am in awe.
