The Pittsburgh show was my second 360 show in 12 days (went to Philly on 7/12). Once again I was in the GA area but this time was twenty feet back of the outer ring on Edge's side. The other major difference in this show is I attended it with my best friend from college who I had not see since his wedding 12 years ago.
Compared to the Philly show Pittsburgh had so many different high points. Some which come to mind are (in no particular order): Bono having the couple come on stage to dance to WOWY; Bono putting his sun glasses on the kid during COBL and getting right down to his eye level while singing to him. As a dad to an 8 year old son this was especially touching; hearing The Fly live which they did not play in Philly; Vertigo absolutely brought the house down; HMTMKMKM was musically amazing; and then seeing the boys huddle up after completing MOS like they were drawing up a plan for the audience and then giving us a 9 minute rendition of Bad to close the show was pure icing on the cake.
When it comes down to it I am fairly certain that no other concert I see in my lifetime will come close to what I witnessed last night and in Philly. Maybe U2 can trump themselves because I am certain no other act will.
Enjoy the time off and rest fellas and we'll see you soon.
