lly had to look away a few times they were that intense. The sound sucked a good part of the show. It kept bouncing off the walls, drowning out Bono's vocals and actually hurt sometimes. All of the lighting and production was very impressive. My biggest suprise was An Cat Dubh/Into The Heart - it was performed well but doesn't work for this show. Like myself, I would say 80% of folks never heard that early stuff and at $175 a pop they should be adding more stuff like Bad, With or With Out You, Stay, etc. Liked Bono's acknowledgement of Nancy Pelosi and Bay Area acomplishments, etc. the Human Rights document being scrolled on the video screen, the cell phone moment was all great. As another reviewer referred to herself, I as a heathen am over the religious stuff. So songs like Yahweh and 40 and rosarys left on mike stands, etc. for me doesn't and shouldn't have so much play at a rock show. The Fly and One I thought were not the best arrangements. Pride, Streets, Elevation and much of the new stuff was wonderful. Is it me or this show - Bono seems to be slowing down. All in all a VERY powerful mood and performance. Hope they improve on the crappy sound and extend & firm up the set list by November in Oakland. U2 is in a class all by themselves. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this an 8.0-8.5.
