Ok...the show was of course AWESOME. But for something different, here is my comparison of the Pittsburgh show and the Buffalo show I saw last night. I can't wait till the 6/22 NJ too!
In comparing Pittsburgh and Buffalo-
Pittsburgh: They played New Year's Day, Sweetest Thing, and Angel of Harlem and a little bit of All I Want is You at the end of one song.
Buffalo: They played Desire and I think they played Even Better Than The Real Thing, (even though it is not showing up on the u2tours.com site), sampled Mystery Girl, Gloria (V.M's version), and In My Life.
Pittsburgh: Being in the heart was really
cool...being that close with room to move was really fun.
Buffalo: Great seats/view...still got to
move/dance and share the show with Chris (my wife)!
Pittsburgh: Band was very tight, a lot of smiles from all band members, U2 was making it obvious that even they thought they were putting on a great show that night.
Buffalo: Still very tight...Bono's voice was probably even better last night...couldn't tell if they were smiling/laughing a lot...but Edge didn't
walk the catwalk nearly as much as he did in
Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh: Longer band introductions.
Buffalo: Short band intros but added the full band performance of Desire at the tip...that was cool, reminded me of full band acoustic versions on the runway during ZooTV.
Pittsburgh: Bono danced with 2 girls...one 10 years old, another one during with or without you I think.
Buffalo: Bono danced with one girl, and layed down with another. Also helped a heavy body surfer from the clutches of security.
Pittsburgh: 2 1/2 drive after show.
Buffalo: sleeping in limo after the show
Pittsburgh: Guiness Stout
Buffalo: Guiness Stout, Beamish, Black Velvets, 100 Buffalo Wings (shared by party of 7) and McSorley's.
Pittsburgh: Bought a black "Edge-like" beanie cap
Buffalo: Bought one adult t-shirt, one kid's t-shirt, and a program (with cool u2 stickers in the middle!)
