KC was my third Elevation show, 2nd in 72 hours. It was by far the best show I have seen on this tour. The sound was incredible, and Bono's voice was great. The difference in sound from Reunion Arena in Dallas to Kemper was amazing. Everything at Kemper was very clear with no echos. The band was a lot more active than in Dallas, and appeared to be interacting with the crowd a lot. For the first time ever I actually saw Adam walk over to the other side of the stage. Larry's face even showed some emotion during the encores.
A funny highlight was Bono butchering Desire. It was interesting to watch him look at Edge for guidance, and then admit after the song that it was a "rusty" rendition. Just goes to show you how successful a band is when even their screw-ups are entertaining.
One note on the crowd. I thought the crowd was great. I really didn't notice that it was not a sell out. Every seat around me was occupied. I hope the band won't hold the lack of a sell out against KC next time around.
