It was perfect in every way, and really that was the problem. I love u2 and have seen them many times, but tonight was following a well worn path. Watching edge play was like watching a performer who has played the same song 3000 times and cant wait for it to finish.
I never thought i would say this but u2 seem to have lost their fire. As a previous review hinted, they almost need to go away and dream it all up again.
Also of note was that they were relying on older songs like never before. It seems that their last album just isnt made for live performances. Mind you it might have been the same at the end of the joshua tree tour in terms of them being a bit bored with it all...I doubt it however!
