I am a long-time fan, and U2 looked and sounded good during their two songs at the Lincoln Memorial. Pride was a very appropiate opener; Bono
tried to get the crowd involved in the middle of the song, to some effect. City of Blinding Lights was a less obvious choice; I would have went for Walk On, or One. It was worth standing in the cold for nearly 8 hours, even though some of my family picked up a bad cold later on during the week! For what it's worth, Barack Obama looked on with great interest while the lads were performing. Maybe he wants Bono to join his team!
There were good performances from other artists during the concert, notably Stevie Wonder with Usher and Shakira.
