The show was an incredible experience for me because I have followed the band from the very beginnings of the "Boy' tour. Nothing has changed, this band can still blow any arena act off the stage due to a great rhythm section as well as the charismatic Bono. The set list was pretty typical in the sense that most of the new songs from "ATYCLB" were played. I probably woul have liked to have heard some songs from the "October" album which would have made the nite complete. I saw them a week earlier at the second Philly show and the sound wasn't as good as last nite. I hope they decide to tour again in the fall because I think it would give them the opportunity to play more obscure songs from ther first four studio albums which I think would come off a little better than the more keyboard oriented songs of there last couple of albums. The only minor negative I had with the concert was a lot of the songs were performed in a lower key to accomodate Bono's vocals. "Pride" was one of those songs which is performed a couple of keys lower which sounded strange. "Walk On' was another tune which looses its feel from the key change. Other than that, these guys play with a passion which is unmatched in the rock world. Would be great if eventually this tour finds its way to the DVD market!!
