There is nothing like a U2 show, especially at the greatest venue in the greatest city in the world. My buddy Chaz and I had already seen them together in Hartford but we had to see them at MSG. Ticketless we went down to the Garden at about 6 pm and the buzz outside the arena was amazing.
The task looked daunting with NYC cops encircling the place and very few non-counterfeit tickets to be had. With a positive attitude we started encircling the grounds as discreetly as possible looking for two together. Our amazing luck brought us upon two guys on the concourse who sold us two tickets in 404 for face value. Thanks guys.
Feeling good about ourselves we went to the Blarney Rock for the preparty and what a pre-party it was. We met so many cool people including Rody and Redonda, who didn’t make it in on Sunday but did on Tuesday. Persistence pays off.
I have never been so far up for a concert before but I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. Though we were in the nosebleeds we enjoyed it the same. No great changes from previous shows but every song was delivered like it was their last. I didn’t leave my seat or sit down during the entire show and most of our section was the same.
It was great seeing them in NYC, their second home, with my good friend Chaz.
We have enclosed some photos so you can what it looks from the bird’s eye view.
