Hi all,
Wanted to say what an incredible show it was on Tuesday night at the Garden, that being Madison Square in NYC. We had front and center seats at the tip of the heart, and ole' Bono threw himself on our laps a number of times throughout the show, providing a very surreal experience as the band played on behind him... "Yeah, uh, down in front please, I'm trying to see Larry...Oh, of course Bono, sing away. So sorry..."
My apologies to the fans who had to endure the cell phonies and the drunkards who remarkably were able to shout over the decibels and into your ears. Very uncool, and I console, 'cause this bloke behind me fell asleep on my shoulder (I kid you not) during the first encore. It provided a good laugh for all of our neighbors, and when we shook him awake he shuffled off in a stupor, thank God. Good riddance.
But it was truly one of the best rock shows I've ever seen, and friends of mine who work for/are friends of the band say this was tops, definately close to #1 on the first leg of this tour.
Bootlegs anyone? I'll be happy to trade to hear it all over again.
Cheers,
TBat
