It was a great show, full of energy. Bono's energy was extremely high -- his voice strong and sharp, his body gynrating and spasming all night. Of course the Edge was on fire, too, truly riveting guitar work. Some fans were a little disappointed that the band played Vertigo a second time to close out the set, but there was also an unscripted surprise in Original of the Species. As for the song list, personally, it does seem like Pride and Bullet could be substituted with other songs and nothing lost; it would have been nice to have heard at least a couple other not-often played songs. I remember hearing "New York" at the Oakland concert in 2001, extremely emotional time of course, and I thought that as a treat they might bring it out for the crowd at MSG tonight. Or even a pumped up "Desire" or mellow "All I Need Is You," or "Kite." * As for the merchandise, the shirts are a little expensive but they do have some fantastic designs, and if you're looking for a bit of nostalgia to take home, I recommend the buttons, a steal at only $2 a pop. A far better investment than the $10 key chains, which really are, V-shaped.
